X
11:11
- 120 x 160 cm
This one is titled after Chris Brown's album known as 11:11. Which is said to be a powerful spiritual sign of alignment, synchronization, and a "wake-up call" from the universe, often signaling that your thoughts are manifesting into reality. Ideas coming to light. I highly relate to this feeling as an artist because it all starts from the mind. The idea to create. The thought of even wanting to create. Seeing how everything comes to life is even better. The journey through making it come to light. His album gives that feeling and it is one of my favorite albums of all time I think. When he performed on stage and sang his songs to thousands of fans. I felt something inspirational out of it. It moved me to want more for myself aswell. To want to create something as inspirational aswell. Through my own way I could portray that feeling for others aswell.

NOTE TO SELF
- 120 x 160 cm
Note to self is a painting of J. cole. It is part of the collection of a Bunch of Artist. Note to self serves as a reminder that it does not really matter who we end up becoming in our lives as long as we enjoy it, we love it and find peace out of it. It further means that we should embrace each other and love our journey as it goes. This is also a title of the last song on his album which is more of a credit to everyone that helped him create the body of work. He plays with the words Love yours which imply that one should love that which they have and not be too concern about that which they do not have. All this was inspiring to me and he performs on stage in the painting which portrays him giving out this message to a crowd and urging them to take note. To self reflect and find peace.

X
- 120 x 160 cm
X is an artpiece I did between 2018 and 2019. It was out of the artistic appreciation of Chris Brown's album called X. Besides all he went through prior the release of that album. It was inspiring for me to see him produce such great music again and I loved the albun art. I played the expanded version of it for most part but I was intrigued when I saw the read album art cover. I was inspired to try and recreate it so I did.
